On our farm we primarily grow Lavandula Angustifolia, which is English Lavender or “True Lavender”.  Although English lavender is native to the Mediterranean, this particular species is considered cold hardy & grows well in most areas of Colorado. English lavender is best known for it’s sweet, floral fragrance which is considered to be the only therapeutic grade lavender essential oil amongst aromatherapists. It is also known for being the most desirable choice for culinary use. We grow several varieties of English lavender using organic growing methods, inviting active pollinators to support our local ecosystem. It is our passion to be able to farm this beautiful and versatile plant, rich in therapeutic properties and culinary usefulness. CULINARY LAVENDER

English lavender has a complex floral flavor profile with subtle notes of herbaceousness & mint, undertones of citrus & woodiness. It’s strong flavor is best used in moderation so as not to overpower the dish, a little goes a long way. It goes well with both sweet & savory. We use lavender to make teas, hot cocoa, lemon lavender cookies, butter cheese spreads, coffee, a compliment to roasted vegetables & meats, etc. The culinary ideas are endless. 

HOME

We hand pick & dry lavender to create bouquets, vase arrangements, & wreaths. Most flowers of English lavender are purple which dry to a vibrant blue. It has a long lasting scent & looks beautiful in most decor styles. We also make an all natural linen & room mist to freshen up any room, inviting presence & relaxation.
